Hon. Salihu Ayuba Musa, Executive Chairman of Kanam Local Government Council, has continued to earn national recognition for his exceptional leadership, grassroots development initiatives, and unwavering commitment to education and community service. In a short time, he has received several prestigious awards from reputable organizations across Nigeria.

1. EXCELLENCE IN LEADERSHIP AWARD.Awarded by the Legislative Writers Forum of the National Assembly, Abuja, in recognition of his outstanding leadership and rapid developmental strides. The Forum, led by Mr. Abraham Bogwaje, praised his inclusive governance and impactful projects.

2. NATIONAL MERITORIOUS AWARD.Presented by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), North-Central Zone, in Jos, for his remarkable achievements in the educational sector within his first 100 days in office. He received this award with the support of his wife, Hajiya A’isha Salihu Ayuba.

3. OUTSTANDING PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR 2025.Conferred by the Inter-Religious Youth Affairs for Peace and Unity (IRYAFPU) for his contributions to peace, unity, and interfaith harmony. The award, led by Amb. Muhammad Taofeeq, affirms his role as a Peace Ambassador in Plateau State.

4. AWARD OF EXCELLENCE – Arewa Media Publishers Event.On February 27, 2025, he was honored at the Unity Hall, Hamdala Hotel, Kaduna, for his visionary leadership, alongside other notable awardees.

5. LETTER OF COMMENDATION – Caleb Mutfwang Support Group Initiative ForumIn appreciation of his role as Chairman of the Ramadan Package Committee in Plateau State, Hon. Musa received a letter of commendation for displaying honesty, transparency, and fairness in the distribution of relief items across all 17 LGAs.

The Plateau State Government has distributed Ramadan gifts to the Muslim faithful across the 17 local government areas of the state. A total of 6,500 bags of 50kg parboiled rice, 4,000 packets of spaghetti, and 1,500 sets of 6 x 3-litre bottles of Kings Vegetable Oil were shared as part of the gesture.

The distribution was overseen by a committee chaired by the Executive Chairman of Kanam Local Government Council, Hon. Salihu Ayuba Musa. The exercise was successfully conducted under the wisdom of its committee chairman.

6. The trophy awarded to the Dengi Police Boys after their victory was subsequently presented to the Honourable Chairman as a gesture of honour.These recognitions reflect Hon. Salihu Ayuba Musa’s steadfast dedication to service, peace, and transformational leadership—setting an inspiring example for public servants across the country.
